Eligibility Condition

• A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme OR a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme OR qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
• A candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
• Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme.

Application Procedure

Candidates can fill the application form through the University’s web-site (https://anjaneyauniversity.ac.in) by filling the application form online. All mandatory details are essential to be filled up

The candidates will upload at the appropriate place a scanned copy of their photograph on the form. Once the mandatory details are completed, the payment option will be activated for making online payment of Rs. 1500 / - as application fees (non- refundable) & subsequent submission of the form.

• The University reserves the right to limit the number of scholars to be admitted to the University at any time. This decision would be guided by the available resources and other facilities.

Details of the Entrance test

The syllabus can be found on the University website.

The duration of the test is two hours. The test comprises of multiple objective type questions. The maximum marks for written component of the Test is 70 (35 for Research Aptitude and 35 for specific subject Area). The Interview will be conducted for 30 marks.

The list of shortlisted candidates for admission shall be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates together in the entrance test and the interview of the respective faculty/ departments.

Category of Students

The students can be registered as Full Time Ph.D scholars. A Full Time scholar has to attend the university regularly and will be subject to the prescribed attendance rules of the University. Professionally employed personnel such as working engineers, scientists and teachers etc. may be allowed to pursue Ph.D. Such candidates are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” from their parent organization /department /employer stating that he / she is permitted to pursue Ph.D studies in full time mode and that his / her duties permit him / her to devote sufficient time for research.

Duration of the Programmes

• Ph.D. Programme shall be for a minimum duration of three (3) years, including course work, and a maximum duration of six (6) years from the date of admission to the Ph.D. programme.
• A maximum of an additional two (2) years can be given through a process of re- registration with prior approval of the Vice-Chancellor; provided, however, that the total period for completion of a Ph.D. programme should not exceed eight (8) years from the date of admission in the Ph.D. programme.
• Provided further that, female Ph.D. scholars and Persons with Disabilities (having more than 40% disability) may be allowed an additional relaxation of two (2) years; total duration not exceeding ten (10) years from the date of admission in the Ph.D. programme.

Refund of Fee

• No Fee shall be refunded.
• All students will be subject to the provisions of Anjaneya University, Statutes, ordinances and Regulations (as amended from time to time).

Time Date and Venue of written exam and interview

The Entrance test will be conducted offline at Anjaneya University on 18 th April 2026 from 10:00 AM onwards. The selected candidates will be further called for interview on 25 th April 2026.
